We are guided by the Gospel’s command to protect the most vulnerable and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We also look to scientific research and the shifting government mandates for direction. Here is Grace’s current Covid Protocols.
- We expect and trust that all persons attending in-person services who can be vaccinated are fully vaccinated, including booster.
- A face covering is not mandatory for worship services, but may be required to participate in certain building activities (including those provided to immunocompromised people).
- When wearing a mask, we encourage you to upgrade, if possible, to N95 or KN95 options. An alternative is to wear a surgical mask (slightly better than a plain cloth mask) or double mask with a surgical mask and a cloth one.
- We currently offer full Communion of bread and wine. Per direction from the Bishop, we are not allowing intinction, which is the dipping of the bread into the chalice. This is not allowed under any circumstances. Communion of 1 kind (bread alone) is still an option, and, in the church’s view, theological valid.
- If you are not feeling well or think you have been exposed to Covid or someone who’s tested positive for Covid, we encourage you to worship online. Please self-screen before coming to church.
Self-Screening Questions
Ask yourself these questions before coming to any church gatherings or events
- Are you or anyone in your household experiencing fever, body aches, diarrhea, vomiting, or chills?
- Are you or anyone in your household experiencing any new or worsening respiratory symptoms? (shortness of breath, cough, runny nose, sore throat, or loss of taste/smell)
- Have you or anyone in your household been diagnosed with or had close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 7 days? This includes those awaiting test results.
Please stay home if you answered “yes” to any of these questions, are in an at-risk group, or are not feeling 100% healthy.
