Every Friday at Grace, a meal is hosted by Grace Memorial and Westminster Presbyterian Church volunteers (alternating each Friday) that serve 70 to 80 guests. The Friday Community Dinner program takes a vacation during the summer.

In the spring 1994, volunteers at Grace started a dinner program in which everyone was welcomed. Originally, the dinners were served once a month. Within a few years, Westminster Presbyterian joined Grace and meals were served every Friday evening.

In 2015, Grace and Westminster Presbyterian together served approximately 3,000 meals to low-income single people, families, older retired folks, and the homeless, all of whom enjoyed the freshly cooked, wholesome food and the pleasure of being waited on.

In 2013, Miriam Thielman and Richard I. Smith created the short film “Soul Food”, a Miriam Richard documentary, about the Friday Community Dinner.
